The music came alive. I told him, "THAT's the sound I want. Exactly!" He directed me to the setup in front of me. "I plugged it in to the same amp speaker combo. There's nothting wrong with the equipment - it's that thing that plays MP3s! If you want great sound, go analogue. Or, at the very least, buy the CD's, this (mp3) stuff is too compressed to have any real audio value. That is, if you care about music."
Since coming home, everything I listen to (via my iMAC connected to a Pioneer SX-77 stereo receiver, and JBL Creature speakers) sounds as if I am listening to it with earplugs on. I can't stand it!!!
My question: Why bother with iPods, and all that jazz, when the sound quality is less than acceptable?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
